He is a fantastic 15h, 2013 Quarter Horse gelding that has truly done it all! He has been a great part of our family and would be the perfect for a savvy amateur or an ambitious professional.
Tony's career started out as a high performance heel horse and has made a great LTE in the number seven ropings. He then spent some time with one of our high school rodeo kids in the breakaway pen, earned money in the bull dogging arena with one of our friends' kids and solidified his career as a header for my husband after that. He loads in the box without problems and is a powerhouse coming out. He knows his job and he does it well.
After almost a decade of ropes flying around his head I decided to give him a break and take him to lessons with my FEI dressage coach and jumper trainer. He might not have the fancy quality gates that a pro would be looking for bit he is soft in the hand and always infront of the leg. Making him a great candidate for a locally showing AA. With his western background he has been all over the states and a new place, new arena or new Showgrounds doesn't bother him one bit.
Tony has covered thousands of trail miles and is an absolute champ in the mountains. I always felt good about ponying my son's pony with him and he is the most patient horse I have ever had around my kiddo. This gelding has put up with all of my small animals and is very gentle to dogs, goats, sheep, cows and kids alike.
You can ride him beautifully round and he will read your seat exceptionally well in both disciplines. He is a very forward horse and has more go than woah in him but it is very easy to direct that energy creating a high performance quality horse.
We would love to see him go to a show home for western pleasure, jumping, AA dressage or maybe someone that would want to put some reining patterns on him. It's all there, ready for you to finish him in the direction of your choosing. Another good place would be a family that needs to share a horse that can do it all.
We are super sad to see him go as he has been such a great part of our family, but it is time for him to find his forever home and for us to focus on all our up and coming babies.
Call or text Malaika at (435) 640 8241 to try him out yourself. PPE welcome.
Tony has spend a lifetime learning everything western. And recently he has gained some solid show miles in the Eventer and hunter rings.
He is a part of the family, and he loves it.
He is fairly new to jumping but really loves it and is very talented. This is his first show after jumping for 2 months.
This was his first hunter show ever and he took home a 2nd and a 3rd place competing against 12 contestants of all breeds.
