Dog Training Policies and Booking Information

• All lessons, classes, clinics, and training programs, including dog training and horse training, must be scheduled in advance.

• Payment in full (or required deposit) is due at the time of booking to reserve your appointment.

• Appointments are first-come, first-served.

• Training packages are non-refundable but may be transferred at our discretion.

We reserve the right to refuse service for safety or welfare concerns.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

To respect the time of all clients:

• Cancellations or rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. 

• Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice may receive a reschedule or account credit. 

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in forfeiture of the session fee, in accordance with our cancellation policy. 

• No-shows are charged the full session amount.

Emergencies may be considered at our discretion.

Dog Training Policies (Utah Compliance)

Vaccination Requirements

In accordance with Utah public health and animal control regulations:

• Proof of current vaccinations is required before your dog’s first class or private lesson. 

• Required vaccinations include:

Rabies (as required by Utah law for dogs over 4 months of age)

DHPP (Distemper/Parvo combination)

Bordetella (required for group classes)

Vaccination records must be submitted prior to participation. Dogs without proof of vaccination will not be permitted to attend.

Health & Safety

• Dogs must be free of contagious illness.

• Owners must disclose any bite history, aggression, or significant behavioral concerns prior to training.

• Female dogs in heat may not attend group classes.

• Owners are legally responsible for their dog’s behavior under Utah liability statutes.

Horse Training Policies (Utah Equine Law Compliance)

Horse-related activities in Utah are governed by the Utah Equine and Livestock Activities Act, found in Utah Code 78B-4-201.

Under Utah law:

• Participants assume the inherent risks of equine and livestock activities.

• Equine professionals are not liable for injury or death resulting from inherent risks of equine activities.

Required Notice

Utah law requires the following warning be provided:

WARNING

Under Utah law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to Utah Code 78B-4-201.

This warning will be posted at the facility and included in all training agreements.

Horse Health & Disclosure

• Horses must be physically sound for participation.

• Owners must disclose any history of bucking, bolting, rearing, biting, kicking, or other dangerous behaviors.

• Proof of current vaccinations and negative Coggins may be required for clinics or group events.

Liability & Waivers

• All clients must sign a liability waiver prior to participating in any dog or horse training services.

• Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign all required documents.

• Clients assume responsibility for personal injury, property damage, and risks associated with working around animals.

Weather & Force Majeure

Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions, natural disasters, or other events beyond our control.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Utah.
